TL;DR: StonkFun lets creators launch coins against a range of quote assets. A stock-related pair and a holder-reward feature are separate things to understand.

Which Stonk are we talking about?
This guide covers StonkFun at stonkfun.xyz, the Solana launchpad. Similar names appear across crypto. A ticker containing STONK is not enough to identify the platform, a particular coin, or a token’s network.
During our read-only review, the public site organized markets by their pairing asset, with categories including tokenized stocks, currencies, Solana assets and custom tokens. That makes the second asset in a pair a central part of how readers discover a market.
Understand the two assets
A newly launched coin and the asset it trades against are separate tokens. If a fictional CAT coin is paired with STOCKTOKEN, CAT is not automatically a share in the company referenced by STOCKTOKEN. Buying CAT does not automatically pass through the other token’s rights.

Launch stages and older versions
The current launch screen reviewed for this article identifies LaunchLab as its launch route. StonkFun’s developer documentation describes LaunchLab integration and distinguishes it from older pool launches. Raydium provides the underlying LaunchLab infrastructure.
That version distinction matters. Instructions about a legacy fee-claim position should not be assumed to apply to a newer launch. Establish the launch type and settings of the token you are researching.
Standard coins and reward coins
The launch interface offers standard and reward modes. Its standard option is described as having no transfer tax; reward options show a holder-reward transfer tax. This is a separate mechanism from merely pairing a coin with another asset.
Ask who funds any advertised reward, who receives it, what token it arrives in and how distributions occur. A reward funded by trading or transfers depends on that activity. A historical payout does not establish what happens next month.
Frequently asked questions
Is StonkFun the same as buying $STONK?
No. Browsing or using a launchpad is distinct from buying a token promoted on its site. This guide does not recommend a platform-token purchase.
Does a stock-related name make a launch lower risk?
No. The new coin still needs its own assessment, and the pairing asset can add issuer, access and price risks.
