TL;DR: Use your Solana receiving address, select Solana on the sending side, and keep SOL for network fees. Moving funds between two Solana apps usually does not require a bridge.

First identify where the money is
There are three different starting points: an exchange balance, another Solana wallet, or assets on a different blockchain. They require different routes. Decide which one applies before opening a launchpad.
If you are setting up self-custody for the first time, our Phantom introduction covers the basics. Use the wallet’s official download source and protect its recovery phrase offline. A website does not need that phrase to receive a payment.
From an exchange or another Solana wallet
- Open your wallet’s receiving view and select Solana. Copy the address from the wallet itself.
- On the sending service, choose the asset and the Solana network. Confirm that withdrawals are supported now.
- Compare the recipient address with your wallet, including more than a familiar-looking beginning or ending.
- Read minimums, fees and the amount expected to arrive. If proceeding, start with a small transfer appropriate to those costs.
- Check the transaction status and received asset before moving more.
Phantom’s receiving guide explains supported networks and addresses. This article is documentation-based; it is not a funded deposit test or a claim about the exact buttons on your exchange.
From a different blockchain
An ordinary transfer does not convert an Ethereum or other-network asset into its Solana representation. Use a currently supported cross-chain route only after checking the destination asset, recipient, costs and return path. A matching token symbol on both sides is not enough.
We do not name a “best” bridge here because the correct route depends on the asset, source chain and live availability.
Keep a fee balance
Solana transactions need a fee payer with SOL. Some applications can sponsor fees, but do not assume that arrangement applies to your transaction. Solana’s explanation of fee payment.
Having USDC or another quote asset does not automatically fund the network fee. Check the wallet’s complete estimate, including any new token-account creation costs.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bridge between pump.fun and StonkFun?
For assets already in the same self-custody wallet on Solana, changing applications is not a chain-to-chain transfer. You may still need a swap or a different quote asset for the market you select.
Is connecting a wallet the same as approving a trade?
No. Read each later signature or transaction request separately. Connection alone is not a reason to authorize an unfamiliar operation.
