Arc’s official announcement schedules public mainnet for September 16, 2026, following private-mainnet activity. The announcement highlights payments, financial applications, tokenized assets and software-agent activity. Open applications and selected validators
Two kinds of participation matter. Users and developers interact with applications; validators participate in operating the network. Arc describes permissionless developer access with a permissioned validator set. “Open” should therefore be explained in relation to the activity it describes.

Does fast network confirmation mean every bridge is instant?
No. A cross-chain journey can involve a sending network, a transfer service and destination processing. The whole journey needs its own estimate.
Is Arc the same as buying Circle shares?
No. Using a network, holding a stablecoin and owning company shares are different activities.
